His main concern is then to flee from the zombies and he plans to travel to Macon where his parents and brother live. At the start of the game Everett is transported to prison, but the car crashes and that way he manages to escape. In a fit of rage he murdered the man and was convicted. The main protagonist Everett was a professor at the University of Georgia who was convicted for murder when he came home one day and found his wife cheating. Instead it tells a parallel story through a new character Lee Everett, but some original comic characters such as Glenn and Hershel make a cameo appearance throughout the series. It takes place in the original universe but does not rely on characters or locations from the comic book or the TV series. The game is set in the United States at the start of a zombie outbreak. The Walking Dead: Episode 5 - No Time Left. The Walking Dead: Episode 4 - Around Every Corner. The Walking Dead: Episode 3 - Long Road Ahead. The Walking Dead: Episode 2 - Starved for Help. The five episodes are:* The Walking Dead: Episode 1 - A New Day The Windows retail version was released in May 2013.Įach episode consists of eight chapters. In December 2012 the full season was released as a single retail game for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, in the same format as the PC version. For iOS the first episode needs to be bought and then the other four episodes are available as in-app purchases, either individually or as multipack for the four remaining ones at a lower price. The PS3 version also offers a season pass to purchase all episodes right away at a lower price and play them as they become available. For the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions each episode was released as a separate expansion but the first episode needs to be purchased to play any of the other four. Once all are installed, any episode can be played right away, but as certain choices are carried over, it is recommended to play them in a chronological order. Players who bought the pack received the first episode when it was released in April and then the next four as they became available up to the release final episode in November of the same year. Unlike the Xbox 360, PS3 and iOS versions, on the PC the episodes were not released separately but only as a single season pack. I hope they make a sequel and also would love to see other games made in this way.The Walking Dead is the first season of a five-part adventure game series based on the AMC TV series and the original The Walking Dead comic book series. Knowing that there was nothing left to play! However I wanted to go back and replay making different choices. I would have preferred these to be a little shorter but I realise the studio had reasons. I liked the episodic style and next time on the walking dead parts, but I thought the gap between each chapter was a bit long in the release schedule. My only criticism is that a few times the save time affects some of the more cinematic moments and made the first few seconds stutter a bit. The game has a good pace and does not overload you with hectic or dull moments. You don't want to make a decision that affects the future plot but sometimes the game does not leave you a choice. The writers know how to surprise and you genuinely feel for the characters and care what decisions you make. Loved the graphic novel style graphics and was very impressed with the voice acting of all the characters. I can't think of many things that provide more value for $20. I was really floored by the story on this one, and that truthfully hasn't happened to me since I played through the first bioshock. The 3rd and last chapter of it all are really mindblowing, particularly the last. You actually get to highly influence the story and how all of the characters (live or die) will keep pushing towards the end. The fact that you can get all this for $20 is amazing. For anyone on the fence about this game, play through the first two chapters (roughly 4 hours) and you will not regret it for a second. But all in all, this game portrays a great story and one that is well worth checking out. The gameplay and graphics have their rough patches here and there, and there are times where you may need to look up a guide because nothing makes sense. And that's the amazing thing about this game, is that the storytelling is comparable to a book or movie. This series of episodes starts out a bit rough but when you look to a book or movie, the ending is really what becomes the deciding factor.
